Hey, I’m Jorge

I started Jorge Helps because I kept seeing the same thing over and over — good people getting stuck with technology and having nowhere affordable to turn. A retired teacher who couldn’t get her printer working. A small business owner locked out of his email. A grandmother who just wanted to video call her grandkids without it being a whole ordeal.

I’ve been working with computers most of my life, and somewhere along the way I realized that the thing I’m best at isn’t just fixing tech problems — it’s explaining them in a way that actually makes sense. No jargon. No making you feel bad for not knowing something. Just patient, friendly help from someone who genuinely enjoys doing it.

Why I Do This

Most IT support is expensive, impersonal, or both. It’s designed for businesses with budgets, not for everyday people who just need a hand. That never sat right with me.

I believe everyone deserves access to help with their technology — whether that’s setting up a new phone, cleaning up a slow computer, or learning how to spot a scam email before it’s too late. That’s why I keep my services affordable and, whenever possible, free. This isn’t a side hustle for me. It’s something I care about.

How I Work

When you reach out, here’s what you can expect:

  • I listen first. I want to understand what you’re dealing with before jumping to solutions.
  • I explain as I go. You’ll know what I’m doing and why, in plain language.
  • I go at your pace. There’s no rush and no judgment. If we need to go over something twice, that’s perfectly fine.
  • I follow up. After we work on something together, I check in to make sure everything’s still working.

Whether it’s a quick question over the phone or a longer hands-on session, my goal is always the same: leave you feeling confident and in control of your technology.
